It offers a complete range of end-to-end gaming products for diverse gaming segments, including distributed government-sponsored markets, commercial casino markets, Amusement with Prize (AWP) markets, and interactive and sports betting markets as a result of integration with SPIELO G2. SPIELO G2 is the leading provider of iGaming and sports betting products and services to regulated gaming markets, and is also the top supplier to the world’s lottery industry, operating more poker networks in regulated gaming markets than any other provider.

SPIELO International serves more than 1,650 customers on five continents and has shipped more than 225,000 gaming machines worldwide, and holds more than 350 gaming licenses. Of those, it is licensed to sell machines in 25 U.S. states, including Nevada, as well as to 146 tribes.

SPIELO International is 100 percent owned by Lottomatica Group, a market leader in the Italian gaming industry, one of the largest lottery operators in the world based on total wagers, and a leading provider of lottery and gaming technology solutions worldwide. Lottomatica is majority owned by the De Agostini Group, a century-old publishing, media, and financial services company. SPIELO International is also an affiliate of GTECH, a leading gaming technology and services company. SPIELO International is a platinum member of the Gaming Standards Association, and supports open industry standards such as Game to System (G2S^®) and System to System^® (S2S^®).

History

SPIELO International was formed by the integration of former sister companies ATRONIC and SPIELO.

SPIELO was established in Canada in 1990, and became the world leader in the design, manufacture, and distribution of high performance Video Lottery Terminals (VLTs), games, central systems, and services.

ATRONIC was established in Austria in 1993 and became a leading provider of casino games and products, including linked gaming solutions. In 2003 ATRONIC acquired ATRONIC Systems, the largest systems provider in Europe.

GTECH acquired SPIELO in 2004, and later, in 2008, GTECH completed its acquisition of ATRONIC.

In 2006, GTECH Holdings Corporation was acquired by Lottomatica S.p.A., and in 2009, SPIELO, and ATRONIC became direct subsidiaries of Lottomatica.

In September 2011, SPIELO International began unification with its sister company, GTECH G2, to provide a full range of player-focused games, products, and services across every gaming channel. In 2012, GTECH G2 changed its name to SPIELO G2 to reflect this integration.
